Amelia Earhart /My Research Paper

Amelia Earhart; the most famous pilot and the braviest I have ever heard of. At first I was not interested in her for my project,

in fact I was going to do Besty Ross discussing the flag. But my American History teacher introduced my partner and I to her by

asking us were we ready interested in Besty Ross. We said no but we have to do the project; so he told us about Amelia. He

explained how there were a lot of theories on her death but there was not a real reason. My partner and I found that very

exicting and there was a great amount of information to argue with; we decided to do our project on her.

In our findings we discovered that Amelia was not alone in her travels across the South Pacific Ocean there was acually a

male companion. Until this day researcher can not find out how they went missing and never came back. She was also known

as the first person to fly over the a Atlantic Ocean by herself and lived to tell the story after that journey. Amelia loved to fly

her plane and others, there was no doubt that she was a nature born pilot even as a woman.

Earhart fits perfectly for "Individuals in History: Actions and Legacies". She took action in her talent on flying planes and

jets, but even though she went missing I know she still lived her life to the fullest by fulfilling her dream. It is our job to try

and figure out what exactly happened to her. She is a great inspiration to our country because she knew what her nature talent

was and she went for it. Amelia started and broke records of all kinds and to her it was like surviving in the wild.

There has been many theories on how Amelia Earhart disappeared. The first one is the plane ran out of gasoline and

broke down over the Pacific Ocean. Another one was she was spying on the Japanese and they captured her once the plane

broke down. These two theories are the main ideas on what happened to her when she disappeared. My partner and I plan on

finding out the most reasonable reason for her disappearance.

NHD: Thesis Statements

1) There are many different theories on why Amelia Earhart disappeared over the Pacific Ocean... but my partner and I are going to firure out which theory sounds more reasonable.

2) Many people from 1939- through today are still pointing out their views on how they think Amelia Earhart disappeared ... What my partner and I are going to find out which theory sounds more realistic or which the U.S was going through at the time to see if it links back or has something to do with Amelia's disappearance.

My Journey into researching Amelia Earhart...

I choose Amelia Earhart, the first female pilot to travel across the Atlantic Ocean. At first My partner and I choose Besty Ross regarding the American Flag. Once we began to do research we notice this subject did not catch our attention. One day during research we ran across Amelia Earhart, at first we did not want to start all over again with the paper work and the researching; but when we heard she was traveling over the Atlantic Ocean one day and disappeared... we just had to research her for our National History Day project. Knowing that Amelia Earhart had disappeared and no one knew where she was at set off my imagination for finding out the closest and reasonable answer to why and how she disappeared. That is why I choose to work on Amelia Earhart for my National History Day project.

My Personal Refection........NHD

As a freshman at Constitution High School, there were a lot of expectations of me.

The pressure was on to do my best as far as good reputation of this school was in my

hands as I started the project. Our topic was Italian Mafia...Joey Merlino, we choose

this topic because personally I thought it was very interesting. So I decided that I

would work on an exhibit, it was right up my alley; my partners wanted to do it to so

it was a date. The research and the project was stressful, but the resources were the

most annnoying part of it. It toke a little while to kick start the project, as we

work on the exhibit. Korin Lassiter, Adriannah Severio and myself set up appointments

and attended the National Arvies to visit documents and see different parts of the

Italian Mafia. My partners and I ran into a lot of problems along the way, but we

stuck together through the process. As a result, the project came out beauitul and we

learned so many differnent things, we bounded and I connected with new present and

future friends. I learned that I souldn't work with friends because it can break up

close relationships. But I also learned that it can be a good thing to work with them

in the long run because, when you get stressed there is a shoulder to lean on to keep

you up when your down. During this process I learned that the Italian Mafia is more

than what they claim they are, they are a disfuctional family. I think I really gained

a fuctional family at the end. That is MY PERSONAL REFLECTION on my National History

Day Project on the Italian Mafia...Joey Merlino. What was your National History Day

Project about?

P.S. I would really appericate it if you came and seen Korin Lassiter, Adriannah

Severio and Silmarie Aguilar's National History Day Project. We worked really hard on

this exhibit; THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!

What Age Should A Child Take On A Lover?

Silmarie Aguilar
Section: 1/2

At what age should children take on a lover? - I believe you can take on a lover

at any time. Here are a few reasons why I strongly believe this: One: it’s their body and I

think if you feel you are ready for one then I totally support you. Second: it’s a freedom

of speech. Three: we were made on this earth to live life, and if you have a age on when

you can get a lover you can’t enjoy life. Here are some more details on how I look at this

situation.

In my first opinion I stated that it’s your body and if your ready for a lover that

you should go for it. Personally, you can’t tell somebody they have a certain age to be

with some body. They are going to find another way to be with them; it’s human nature.

So, you mind as well support this certain person in their actions the best way you can.

As I stated in my second opinion, it’s freedom of speech to have a lover. Nobody

forces you to have a lover, nobody forces you to have a connection with this person. You

can’t control someone acts on his or her emotions based on how mature you think a

certain person is. Everybody deserves to be happy; even if that means a child does take

on a lover.

My third and final reason is; we were made on this earth to live life to the fullest.

There shouldn’t be regulations on who or what we decided to interact with, it’s our own

opinion. In which, I truly believe there should not be an age for taking on a lover. If you

think about it there is no age for falling in love, so why have one for a child taking on a

lover.
So in conclusion, I do not believe that there should be an age for a child to take on a

lover. It your body and personally I think you can do whatever you what with it. As I

stated in the beginning I think we can take on a lover at anytime; it’s a personal opinion

we should respect it. This is what I think about a child taking on a lover.
